Loqui
Loqui (meaning speak in Latin) comes from the need for escape, and the reality of confinement. Embracing the idea of film as experience, this hermetic world becomes a type of catharsis for both the character and the viewer allowing him/her to become lost within the film. Accompanied by a droning score, emphatic editing, and methodical actions, the events on screen become a transient-like experience. These elements separate his cyclical reality and self-induced fantasies in a way that illustrates an internal struggle for the character, a conversation with himself if you will.
